I am literally the most disgusted I think I’ve ever been in my life. ! Warning, sexual actions mentioned ahead !
Here’s what happened:
*phone rings and I pick it up*
Me: Good morning, thank you for calling Starbucks, how can I help you?
Guy: *mumbling/can’t hear him*
Me: hello? Hello?
Guy: *heavy breathing into the phone* can you wait a second? *more heavy breathing*
Me: oh uhm, sure! *starts to hear moans*
Guy: *starts moaning and says “oh f***”*
Me: *immediately hangs up the phone*
The phone immediately rang again and I told my coworker I was NOT answering the phone. And he had the AUDACITY to call back again!!!
Long story short, I answered the phone and I man was masturbating on the other end.
I am literally still disgusted and honestly a little traumatized at what I heard today.

this is so rattling. i had a very similar experience a couple months ago and i answered the phone with my name so he called back and asked for me by name. freaked me out so bad i was scared i had a stalker for weeks. hate that you had to experience this it is seriously disgusting and scary and weird

This has happened to me twice at my first job, not at Starbucks. I worked at a Christian bookstore and there were two different times when I answered and some guy was being perverted and probably trying to get off. I was 16 at the time with makes it even more gross. I wouldn't say it caused long term trauma for me but it has definitely stick with me even almost 10 years later. People are messed up. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, really not ok.

This has happened to my but not at the bux. I used to work for a limo service and took calls for booking and this guy would call once a week doing the same thing. I eventually quit because the owners didn’t understand what the hell I was talking about. I think it was a regular customer because they would only call when I was there. Still grosses me out…. Many years later.
