Is it possible she missed her tips the week before so it was two weeks worth?
QuietCity333 1 points 1y ago
when that happens, they put it in 2 separate bags for each week because the little bags they use can’t be resealed after opening. my first week of tips i had gotten a bag with ~$20 in it and a bag with $4

Yes, you’re correct, but I’m not sure how you got less unless the tip person mistyped while doing the math… maybe you can ask an SSV that you trust about the correctness of it and get the actual amount owed/figure out why and how to not let it happen again. From experience, a few years ago someone at my store tried to use an Excel sheet to do the math where they could just plug in the numbers each week, and it messed everything up. So whenever I mentioned the discrepancy, they sorted it out, but it was still kinda annoying. The tips add up over time and the share between partners should be fair for everyone working.

thanks! i will check the tips this week because we are shown a sheet with how much we got in tips, how many hours everyone worked, how much they got, etc. i’ll wait and see what i can find out.

Training hours typically wouldn't count towards your tip share. Since you're new, were there training hours in that 27?

training hours should count towards tips anyway

Then I've got tips in another store to track down. (My old restaurant server jobs never tipped the trainees)

no, i completed all my training within my first week
