Customer asked for free coffee for the 50th anniversary? (self.starbucksbaristas)

She said “What day are you guys doing free coffee for the 50th anniversary?” and I explained that while I had heard nothing about it personally, I could be wrong and Id check the update before she got to the window. I checked, nothing. I told her I hadn’t heard anything about it and that the book didn’t say anything, but I could be wrong. She said “Well that’s weird. It’s all over TV. You should get some information for people who come in asking.” Am I crazy? I know there was a free grande drink in the app recently but that’s ended already. And she’s the *only* one who asked

From what I heard on the 29th I believe if you bring in your own reusable cup you can get a free coffee or iced coffee but no hand crafted drinks just the brewed ones and you have to pay for any additions

Yes but Starbucks is celebrating the 50th Anniversary on Coffee Day by offering a free pike to anyone who brings a clean reusable cup

There was a weekly update a while ago on how to handle personal cups. Just made sure you put their cup in a mug or something so you don’t have to touch it, it doesn’t touch our equipment, and our equipment and hands don’t touch their stuff. The sticker that prints out gets put on whatever vessel so that it’s easily identifiable to be handed out without sticking one of our stickers on the customers cup.

You can use anything, it doesn’t have to be a mug. You can use a steaming pitcher if you want.
