I’ll never forget the one time that my coworker invited this guy in drive thru to come inside and make his drink since he was arguing with him so much.

Honestly, nothing happened. The guy finally said what he wanted, I made the drink and rang him up myself so that my coworker didn’t get into a bigger fight at the window lol.

Today, a customer tried to argue with me that french vanilla was something different than combining vanilla & hazelnut. They hit me with the, "it's never been made this way before" smh

I think you've misread my comment lmao or I've communicated it wrong. I fully know that Starbucks uses vanilla and hazelnut to make French vanilla. But a customer ordered French vanilla and then complained when the ticket had hazelnut on it.

i had a lady yell at me for five minutes because she INSISTED that the caramel macchiato has always come with whip.
at the box she had asked me to “make sure they put whip on it, most of y’all don’t know how to do your job and make drinks right.”
i was momentarily puzzled before i just responded in my best \~peppy customer service voice\~:
“i’m sorry you’ve had that kind of experience at starbucks! i’ll make sure there’s whip on it for ya. just so you know, the caramel macchiato doesn’t come with whipped cream, so you’d have to tell your barista in the future, but we got ya this time!”
"are you new?"
me: "uh, no miss, i've been working here for a while" (at this time it was about eight months i think, so long enough to know how to make the drinks)
"well I'VE been coming here for FIVE YEARS and it was ALWAYS supposed to come with whipped cream. maybe it's just you ***new people*** ^((scoffs)) that were trained wrong. i've been coming longer than you, i know what i'm talking about. they need to do more training because you obviously don'y know how to do your job"

me on barista headset: "just confirming that it never came with whip?" (shift on the floor has worked at the bux for like 6+ years)
shift: yeah no you're right.
me, back on dt headset: alright miss. we'll see you at the window, thank you.
her: ***NO!*** I'M NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! You're all so ***INCOMPETENT!*** **UGH!**
then she pulls up to the window and wants her drink. i just smiled, handed it out to her, and turned to the register. i didn't walk away, i just made it clear that the conversation was done.
edit was to finish the story on my pc so i could format it.

"So just to confirm miss, you have never gotten your caramel macchiato with whip, even though you are certain it is supposed to come with whip. But you have never gone to a Starbucks where they have put whip on your caramel macchiato?"

Side note, I have no idea where all these caramel macchiato with whip people are coming from. It is so odd, but I have just recently had so many of these people from out of nowhere. I was first hired in 2007, whip has never automatically been added to a CM, you have to ask for it if you want it and most baristas will tell you adding whip to a CM is just odd.

It’s so hard to read this. It genuinely pisses me off LOL!! I work at Sonic currently and I get the same outbursts over what comes on a SS Dbl burger, claimed he “wanted all the fixings” give you, it only comes with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Lol I love deflating their massive egos.
