Hey! What can I (a simple ssv) do for mental health day? Goodie bags maybe? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Colorful Sharpies and/or pens would be nice. Maybe a small notebook to jot down and organize thoughts may be appropriate as well. Every store environment is different, but most would appreciate unexpected gestures like gifts. It is kind of you to have your co-workers in mind. Here's hoping your positive energy is returned threefold.

That would be so kind honestly!! Though just be sure to be in the know of any partners allergies/ candy preferences (since ik theyre usually included in goodie bags 😤) it's so nice to know when your ssv's care about you :) I brought in cupcakes once and my coworkers seems to really like it

Tbh as someone with lots of mental health stuff Id be annoyed getting a goodie bag for mental health day instead of just nothing, sorry. Thanks for thinking of it tho <3

You’d be annoyed that someone went out of their way to show that they are thinking about your mental health and give you a small token of kindness. Wow.

If its coming from them as a person i think its super nice, but since it’s coming from my boss its coming from Starbucks. And lord knows Ive cried so many times so many breakdowns and burnout from starbucks and its like “thanks, now here’s some chocolates!” like that just makes me feel like, really??

I really don’t think ssv or even asm’s are really extensions of their jobs. I was both an asm and an ssv, I was not Starbucks. I was and am a person. I think it’s super sweet someone would do that. I would 100% be mad if a DM did something and it was like Starbucks branded bullshit.

I see what you’re saying there. The lines get blurry between “boss” and “coworker” for SSV.
