Perhaps I may be over reacting, but maybe it might be too soon for this type of promotion ( Covid-Times) . I cringe at the thought of someone fishing for a filthy reusable cup from their disgusting germ riddled cars to push in front of me and my clean counters in order to receive this free hot coffee ( regardless if we still insist on providing a clean cup ). Maybe a promotion " with every purchase of any merchandise receive a hot coffee" for the future maybe...sounds alot more appealing to me.

some lady straight up brought in her reusable cup and it was crusty from old milk or something, proceeded to pressure me into taking it. after i refused multiple times, she got a napkin and wiped it clean then handed it to me. the AUDACITY, but of course i bad to accept it since my manager was right there

that’s the type of situation where I would’ve just given them a free coffee in a regular cup to avoid escalation. “I’m sorry we cannot accept this cup due to our sanitation standards, but I will honor the free coffee offer for you”

i just don’t understand how people don’t rinse their cups and letting old milk get crusty 🤢 i keep a bottle of water in my car specifically so i can rinse it out when i finish my coffee so it doesn’t get crusty

Had a mf come in yesterday, wanted a free coffee, I asked if he had a personal cup he says “ I need a reusable cup?” I said yeah. Then he picks up the white reusable ones that we sell and says “you guys got these?” I said yeah it’s 2.50$ and he replies “I have to buy it???”.
This loaf of bread wanted us to give him both the reusable cup for free and then the coffee 😐

Our coffee brewer broke and it hasn’t been fixed yet, so all day yesterday we had tons of people coming for their free coffees and we had to do pour overs for each one.

this is the worst thing i’ve ever heard i feel so bad for you

It was NOT fun. It’s fixed now, though.

My licensed location never told me it was happening, I was so confused when the first person asked about it. They said “are you doing a free coffee if you bring your own cup?” He did not have a cup. Nobody that asked me had a cup. I proceeded to inform them about tarbucks in store refill policy 😂 a coworker later informed me that it’s national coffee day. I decided that we weren’t a participating location.

I loved that about my tarbucks if I was there anything I decided the rest of the team followed suit ded wouldn’t offer it too 😂😂

our store measured out the coffee into steamer pitchers then poured it into the customers cups. (or at least they did when i stopped by briefly yesterday i didn’t work wednesday.) i thought that was pretty clever lol
if the person wanted milk or sugar idk how that wouldve worked but in my store its rare it see just hot black coffee

we actually didn't get that many bringing in their cups for this. maybe 5 people during my 5:30-10:45am shift.
shellzancheeze1 points1y ago
Same here, we have a regular that comes in at least twice a day for some pike and maybe 4 other people my entire shift

In the UK I get to deal with this tomorrow, as for taking a gross own cup, we as standard put it inside a for here cup then only handle that down to to the handoff, the cup then goes straight to the wash!
stoneylizzard2 points1y ago
my store is temporarily shut down because a borrowed partner brought us covid (fortunately i tested negative). thank god we didn’t have to deal with that, it’s a weird area and a lot of unreasonable people so i know they’d give us shit if we were open
