Shift Swap Conundrum (self.starbucksbaristas)

I accepted a shift swap from a partner for tomorrow sometime last weekend. It’s been pending under “awaiting manager approval” since. I’m fairly new at this store, and have sent multiple messages to my SM with no response. The shift I offered to switch for is at 7AM and my initial shift is at 5PM. I also don’t have the number of the partner I switched with :,). Do I just show up for my initial shift???

I'd show up for the switch since that's what you and the partner talked about. But next time make sure the switch it oked by the Shifts on duty that day at the very least, since they're be there and your manager may or may not be.

No. You accept the shift it’s your responsibility. What’s the worst thing that happens? You go in and have to come back later? Personally I would rather show up and have time before my shift if the other person showed up than get a call at 7am asking where I am. I suggest calling the store and have someone check the DCR. Nobody I know uses the app to switch shifts
