Oh every five years or so they decide they should give us something like that. I think in the last iteration a few years ago there was some idea to write down a new customer name you learned and a good interaction each day or whatever. No one does. Everyone either takes home their notebook or loses it. No manager ever has the bandwidth to ask anyone about them, and certainly no barista or shift ever has time or inclination to fill it out how they want.
More often we've had little coffee passports. At one point they moved them to digital for a year or two. Then everyone was like, uh, you know you don't let us have phones on the floor, right? And so they made new printed coffee passports. Shortly after they significantly cut down the number of coffees we sell. Then they further cut it down with the supply and shipping issues, and passports ended up on the supply cut list too.
So that was way more than you really asked. But basically no.

Ah sad to see, thank you for your answer

Just curious, what would you see yourself using it for? It's always been something I kinda rolled my eyes about. You certainly would be free to bring your own notebook if it were somehow helpful.

Oh yeah I do for notes and things! I was thinking about bringing my own if they don’t have it at my store.

You'll get a coffee passport -- at least, if your manager has some in stock and remembers to give you one. It's a pocket-sized notebook with information about coffee and the various roasts that Starbucks offers and there's some space to write your own notes as well

You talking about a learning journal? You should get one...?
LanternLight41 points1y ago
I was wondering if I needed to buy my own…, but yeah I’ll get one if I don’t get one from Starbucks

You can't order it. Your trainer should give you one. Starbucks has all of their stuff on lockdown when it comes to non sellable items.
