How do y’all keep your artsy name tags dry and cute? (Inspired by another name tag post!) (i.redd.it)

Seal it with clear tape
medusas-garden 41 points 1y ago
I use matte clear nail polish
dallizzlee [OP] 7 points 1y ago
Do you take the nail polish off and reuse the tag?
medusas-garden 20 points 1y ago
Not gonna lie I’ve been using the same name tag for a year and never changed it lol. But my thought process was that if I needed to I could always take it off with nail polish remover so that’s probably your best bet

When you’re ready to change it

my manager bought a chalk waterproofing spray and literally nothing will take it off! I’ll see if I can’t get a picture of it next time I’m in

I use clear packing tape, that way I can wrap it up and over the name tag to the back. Also let’s me sign the name tag on the back along the bottom of the name tag and seal the signature and the date I made it. This way they can still use it as caramel drizzle bag scraper or whatever else people use their name tags for.

I just spray the water resistant spray for shoes on this. And so far my nametag is good for 6 months already.
dallizzlee [OP] 4 points 1y ago
I need something slightly less permanent since these are very specific lol
dkr1829 2 points 1y ago
I mean if you use like the sanitize wipe, you still can easily clean it without trying. But for example, there’s a tiny syrup/ water drop on it, it’d still be good for at least 1-2 months as far as I see.

You can bake it in the oven on "cookie" so i have heard

"Puffy Paint" works great for a 'lifetime' nametag.

I have a Mgr make me one my first year of working at SB, ended up using it for 3 or so years.

dallizzlee [OP] 7 points 1y ago
Sharpie chalk markers!
heir_majesty 2 points 1y ago

shwaggerasf 2 points 1y ago

Tbh I never use my name tag. Boss got us all embroidered aprons so I just use that and rush it through the laundry
dallizzlee [OP] 1 points 1y ago
I mean that’s great but I don’t have an embroidered apron, I have these name tags lol
Wonderful-Ad-9816 1 points 1y ago
