Our drive thru is the fastest in our state as of this week. We hit a 30 second peak drive time on Friday. And we recieve.....nothing for our trouble other than the new expectation that that is attainable all the time. Oh! And a pizza party. And going home every day wanting to die before we wake up the next morning to go to work.🥰🙃

the sad part is that the pizza party was probably part of the pre-planned Starbucks spirit week thing too and not even a reward for your hard work LOL

I'm tired man. I'm tired of being pushed like a workhorse for pizza so my SM gets a raise.

For a Sunday we tried to get the time down, but someone’s card declined… so he proceeded to set up Apple Pay…. 8 minute car and just at the window. I think 11-12 total

At that point just have them come inside or even better just give them their order That's what I do if someone's card declines. I don't care enough and the multi billion dollar Corp doesnt care

I found out at the end. I was warming not window at the time XD

I think my SM would have an actual honest to God aneurism.

We had someone try to return a cup through the drive through once, which also led to them being at the window for about 8 minutes. Then there was another lady one day who was arguing with us about a free drink coupon or something. We tried for minutes to get it to work and then realized it was redeemable for an iced coffee only (not this lady’s iced latte 🤦🏻‍♀️). I think she was at the window for 9-10 minutes? My SM wasn’t there either or those days or she would have flipped

Here is the thing, SMs get nothing for better window times or customer connection scores. Nothing. It’s the DMs & RDs & above that get money for it. They keep saying respect the customer’s time- yes but let’s respect our partners’ first.

Isn’t there salary partially based on sales tho? And faster window times = larger sales.
Altruistic_Deer_7756 1 points 1y ago
Only bonuses are affected by sales over last year. A manager has to be 10% or more over goal to get a good bonus & an entire region has to meet their goal also. That’s what it was when I was a manager last year.

I'm quitting today cuz fuck dis

Now it’s time to let those times go up! There’s honestly no real consequences anyways. I’m not in a dt store. But I use to work in a place that has one. When my stressed out coworkers are asking me why am I not going faster I give them my most honest response. “I’m tired.”
captmarksparrow 2 points 1y ago
My store is the fastest in our district, and we average about a 38 second drive time during peak throughout the week. The best overall time I've seen during peak is 28 seconds. We're in the same boat as you. The expectations keep getting higher, and the pay is sadly stagnate. But hey man. Our SM makes more money now? :)
E-hugs519 [OP] 3 points 1y ago
That's the kicker for me. We get these time or customer connect score based goals but then if we hit those goals the response is to do even better until we cant push any faster or better. Theres no concrete goal, no stop point and no celebration. They're setting us up for failure or literal death on the line.

It’s expected and demanded of us daily ever since august we got 30 seconds peeks twice in one week and another day with 90 cars in the half hour
Somedays if we get anything higher our SM will be asking for text updates/pics of the peak play & will demand for the play to be changed

Hey, at least your manager will probably get a bonus /s
