I’m a very new green bean but I wanted to share a cute story about one of the regulars at my kiosk. I love seeing him in line and he’s always so sweet and patient. He gets the same thing every day: pastries for himself and a decaf drink for his wife.
I recently found out that he teaches at my school and we have great conversations about our classes and how we feel about the semester so far. He seemed so tickled when I jokingly asked if we should be calling him Dr. instead of sir when he comes in. I genuinely look forward to seeing him in line during my shifts.
Do y’all have any regulars you love seeing? I know a lot of our customers are a lot to deal with but I wanna hear about the ones that always make your day.

My favorite regular is one of those people who just brightens the day of everyone she encounters. Even if she's in a bad mood, everyone leaves the conversation with her feeling uplifted. She was recently the photographer at my wedding, and my whole family thought she was just delightful there too. What a gift to have!

I have two regulars that come in on Wednesdays and Thursdays. An elderly Italian couple that appreciate my Hispanic background because I can pronounce thier names correctly. They tell me stories about growing up in Italy, give me Italian phrases to practice, and genuinely ask how I'm doing during the rush! I really love seeing them so much so that I've asked my manager to keep me on Wednesdays and Thursdays during a shift where I can for sure see them!

We had this one regular who would always come in and cheer "taco tuesday!" or something similar!!! He was really nice to be honest, and even though our energy wasn't always there we cheered back for him. After the big ice storm in texas we gave him one of the gift cards they sent us to give everyone and he got so emotional. Haven't seen him in a while. I hope he's doing ok :(

At my store we have this Greek man that comes in and always orders a Trad Misto with Soy. He is an incredibly sweet individual and honestly looks like a grey teddy bear in human form. I think he’s not only my favorite, but the whole store’s favorite. It’s always a good time when he comes and he just lifts up everyone’s mood.

We used to have a guy who would come in every few days and order the same tea every time. He'd just sit in the lobby, on his laptop, sipping his tea. He'd usually get a refill before leaving. Unfortunately we stopped carrying the tea for a few weeks due to production issues and he seems to have stopped coming. We have the tea now. I miss him :(

Oh easily this one lady who comes in nearly, if not every day. She's just always so happy and peppy, but not annoyingly so. Just...a very positive person. She is always genuinely grateful and happy to see us. Sometimes it feels like she's the one making a "barista connection" instead of the other way around! 😅
