So what happens if I don’t meet the 240 hours within 3 months of working there to be able to apply for benefits?
I’d assume I would have to wait for next period to sign up for benefits next year correct?

It doesn’t have to be your first 3 months, it just has to be 3 consecutive months. So if you don’t get enough hours in August-October for example, you might have enough for September-November, etc.
