I'm a pickle about whether I should report or not. (self.starbucksbaristas)

EDIT: Title should have been "I'm *in* a pickle..." haha

A shift supervisor at the store I trained at has apparently been problematic recently, and they are things that are not ok (everyone's ok afaik, but he said some stuff and treats certain people not the best). I would report him without a second thought, because I know he couldn't do anything even if he knew I was the one to report it. Problem is, I am the third person in a game of telephone. I didn't witness it in person, and my source didn't either, they heard it from the person who did witness it. Is that enough to report based on? I 100% believe it based on how this guy acts in general. I also am afraid I would lose the trust of my source and risk their trust of theirs. I think it need to be addressed at the very least, but I don't wanna risk two friendships over this. Any advice?

I turned myself into a pickle, Morty!

Jokes aside, don’t rely on third party accounts to make report. Have the actual people involved make the report.

I just don't wanna bring it up the them because I'm probably not supposed to know.

Tricky for sure. I’ve been in similar situations. While I think reporting is usually the right thing to do, when there’s a friend involved the way you mentioned, I would speak with them about it first. You’re trying to do the right thing, and I’m not trying to be negative but unfortunately I find that even when HR gets involved, unless it’s a “big” issue, not much if anything happens to the person and the victim(s) could be impacted more, whether anxiety etc. Feel free to DM if you want to talk more. Good luck OP
