Training shift after 3 months of working? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mollythewiz
Hey guys! I’m still pretty new to this job and i’ve already gone through training. I was looking at my schedule for next week and i saw i had 1.5hr shift that said “non-coverage training”. I’ve never seen this before as i usually work 5-6 hour shifts. Any knowledge about this would be great, thanks! :)

Could be your barista certification. Have you already taken that?

nope. what does that entail?

Basically just a test of your drink making. Pretty simple. Your SM or trainer will go through various drinks, making sure you know the proper way to make them and then have you make all thr basic drinks. They'll also test your sequencing. That's all I had to do, anyway.

okay. thank you!

A few other things it could be are:
fall training (even tho it should’ve been done by now) or any supplemental training missed during barista basics (such as store safety, active shooters, etc)
