To be or not to be remade (self.starbucksbaristas)

This is really just a moment to vent, cause my partners and I know, I did every thing I could to make this lady happy but she was no having it. A women came in and ordered two drinks; Trents strawberry acid lemonade w/4 stevia and a grande caramel machiatio hot extra caramel. Super simple drinks also I was in a great mood. When I’m done making the drinks I notice she doesn’t look too pleased and asked “are these for me?” I said yes and she then asked “is there heavy cream?” ( mind you lemonade and milk…. Is just strange to me but to each there own I guess) I politely said “no I’m sorry it wasn’t on the sticker but I’d be happy to remake it for you” she then said it was fine (which it clearly wasn’t and loudly said “they made your drinks wrong” to her children (by the way children even looked confused I felt so bad for them) i then decided to remind her loudly I had asked to remake her drink and she said no so is there anything else I can get you…… the women proceed to ignore me and wake out.

As she walked out my manager who was sitting outside saw the woman throw the drinks in our flowers and yelled to her kids “this is what we do when Starbucks makes our drinks wrong, we dump it on their property” I had no idea she did this until after she asked for a refund. My manager was so shocked with her behavior as well as I was. What really got me about this interaction was….. at what point did people stop looking at customer service workers as less than people. It’s as if me, a human was unable to make a mistake, and what’s more baffling is why won’t customers let workers fix the issue they’re having? It’s so simple she could of walked away happy but decided to just be angry for the day. It’s just crazy, any way I hope you guys are entertained cause I sure was.

Side note: I can’t imagine someone doing this at a restaurant when they mess up an order. You don’t just throw a New York steak on the restaurants front lawn cause it wasn’t how you liked it 🙄😂

And notice this is what she is teaching her children.

It pisses me off even more that she is aggressively training her children to be just as hateful as she is. What a raging cu...

You know.

One thing I've learned from this job is that we are really just surrounded by extremely low IQ people... Absolutely terrifying

Petty at its finest.

Sometimes someone just wants to be mad and they look for any reason. This was a petty way to waste $12, but hopefully those kids are smart enough to be embarrassed to her behavior and don’t model it.

I remember my mom acting a fool in public when I was younger and I remember cringing. Not this bad but I never went out with her as an adult because it was just more peaceful that way.
