What’s going on with the partner discounts? (self.starbucksbaristas)

are we going back to how things were before? i went to my local cafe for a cold brew and when i gave my partner numbers, they only discounted rather than shaving off the entire price. the cashier then explained how the free drink discount isn’t happening anymore?

i paid and went on with my day, but my heart’s stinging

has anyone else experienced this? 😅

They are taking them away :( We’re going back to only the 30% discount on off days, and then unlimited free drinks thirty minutes before, after and during your shift. We’re also getting seven food mark outs a week instead of the once per shift, but we can only get them on days we work. Boooooo !!

me too! i think the best we can do is talk about it in our weekly pulse surveys and maybe hope they’ll give it back. the least starbucks can do for us is give us free drinks lol

Gee idk, maybe Bc were still in a pandemic and they hired thousands of partners with that as a benefit. They can more than afford it, they’ve made so much money during this pandemic. We can remake drinks all the time and give shit out for free but they can’t give their partners ONE free drink on their day off? Total bullshit.

If it makes you feel better I’ve always just made cold brew for myself at home. It’s the easiest thing in the world. You just need a coffee grinder and the press.

Yeah you can also get a second cold brew at the end of any shift before your day off and save it for the next day.

And only at your HOME store! I would imagine it should include stores where you are filling in. I don’t know if the update said anything about the coffee mark out, you can perhaps still get the coffee mark out, 1 pound a week, at stores other than where you work. Otherwise, you just get your 30% discount. Partners, stop giving your partners a hard time when they have to enforce this new update. I know 0P was nice, but there are reports of other partners being mean

It was in the weekly update a few weeks ago…apparently per partner feedback we don’t want free drinks or food items on our days off anymore. Bullshit if you ask me.

corporations blaming the employees for changes no one asked for😱?! who knew that was possible!

but in all seriousness, if thats the excuse starbucks is giving—i wish theyd just be honest about it rather than saying it was “partner feedback” :,)

i dont mind paying at all—im in no way terribly angry about it—but they had a good thing going with free drinks as a partner benefit 😅
