We’re understaffed all over the place, so it’s normal to be suffering without cs, yeah. My store is the same.

I would say definitely not 'standard'. At my store outside of peak, if you are main bar and have no customers its standard to go grab yourself a sleeve of cups, or stock your lids, grab a syrup bottle, etc. But, anything more time consuming than that is on either DTO, Front, Backbar, or customer support to figure out. During peak if we are main bar we are told never to leave our bar, although we are lucky enough to have a mostly staffed store considering most stores are not right now. Whenever I am on bar my priority is always with my drinks though.

Edit: We are a drive heavy store which is why front is lumped in as a supportive role I am sure in some stores front does not have the time to help with things like whips, sweet creams, etc.
