Literally trained on the register today for the first time!! Came naturally cuz I feel like all register systems are very similar! Anyways, my first customer was a huge butthole. She had that look on her face that screamed, “I’m better than you get my my coffee!!”
Anyways, I explained that I was new and asked what I could get started for her. She began mumbling her order, to which I said, “I’m sorry maam, I can’t really hear you. Could you speak up and repeat your order?” Literally in the nicest way possible.
She rolled her eyes and let out a huge huff and began talking slowly like I was stupid or something. Like it was just in the tone and body language…
Anyways I got her order all typed in. Three drinks.. no biggie. Then I asked for her form of payment and she handed me two gift cards. I scanned one in. And she asked to see the other gift card to have it back. And I was like, “okay sure, here you go. You still owe_____ amount.” And she was like, huh?? Like she looked like she was about to rage and I was starting to get anxious at this point cuz I can only handle soooo much from one person. My training person who trained me stepped in and took care of the lady. Overall, shitty first customer. But the rest were so kind!! My training week is over and I am so excited to start next week at my store!! I’m just hoping the lady was just having a rough day, and doesn’t treat everyone like that on a day to day basis!!!

TLDR- Last day of training and I was on register for first time. My first ever customer was too difficult and rude to handle.
