Should I quit or wait it out? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey fam, so I've been under the Siren for nearly 3 years now. The situation I've found myself in currenly is a weird one.

I recently moved out of state and requested a transfer to a store close to the area I currently live. The manager who was helping me with the transfer process told me all was well and good on their end. I'd also spoken with the manager of the store I'd been planning on transferring to, and they seemed super stoked to have me. Flash forward about a month and I'm now in a new state, a new city, thinking I have a job secured. Flash forward another month and I haven't even been put on the schedule yet.

I have been in contact with the manager of the store I've been trying to transfer to, and he's been super nice about the whole thing. Apparently something was up with my old DM and for whatever reason the transfer just wasn't pushed through. Manager says he's working on it, but I haven't heard back from him in about a week.

Long story short, for some reason the transfer just isn't happening, and it's not happening nearly as quickly as I need it to. I don't really want to quit, mostly because with the raise, my pay rate is now $15.50, and minimum wage in my area is $7.00. At this point though 7 dollars seems better than no dollars. I'm not sure if I should continue waiting or quit. And I don't even know how to go about quitting if I find another job since I technically don't even have a manager right now. I would like to be eligible for rehire (looks good on other applications).

Has anyone else had a problem like this when transferring? What did you'll do or what would you do?

Don't be afraid to escalate this as far as it needs to go. Contact partner resources and tell them that you've been waiting two months for your transfer to be completed. Then, call your old store to speak to the manager. Continue to call them every day. If they aren't available, have someone give you the contact info for your old DM. If they don't answer or get back to you, contact partner resources about that as well. As far as they're concerned, you're out of sight and out of mind and likely forgot about you.
Additionally, you can be a borrowed partner for the time being. It's a huge pain for the managers to figure out across different states, but it's doable and it's not your problem to solve. From what I've observed it's so frustrating that they'll suddenly figure out how to finish your transfer instead of keeping you as a borrowed partner.

Moved out of state and took a month for my transfer to go through. Wasn't even the store I had been in contact with before the move.
My old store manager claimed the DM in the area I moved to was not responding. I finally got to work once the DM of the area I was in talked to my old store manager, but I was picked up by a store that I wasn't expecting. But it's chill.
Call your old store manager on the daily.
Call the DM of the area you are in and even your old DM. Just keep putting pressure on them
