can someone confirm the official recipe for these?? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by joviante
1) iced cappuccinos
2) decaf fraps (i don’t think there is an official recipe, it’s not on pos)
3) apple crisp frap (never actually learned how to make it, i just make it like a caramel frap but w apple spice drizzle. is it half pumps or full pumps of abs?)

(even if y’all don’t know do you wanna comment anyway? i’m lonely 🥺)

update: i made an iced cappuccino on dt bar today before i had a chance to look at it. i did espresso, 2% milk to the bottom-middleish line, ice to the top line and nonfat w 2 vanilla the rest of the way. oops ig

I'm not at work to find the recipes, but you can look on the iPad. Under store resources there is a recipe list for every drink. It's the same app you use for the siren's eyes.

But for the apple crisp frap, it is pumps of the apple crisp syrup and the drizzle topping. The number of pumps is the same as every other frap. Also decaf fraps are made with 1, 2, 3 decaf shots for t, g, v.

One more edit for iced caps. It's nonfat milk, shots of espresso, ice, and then regular cold foam. Regular cold foam is made with two pumps of vanilla and nonfat milk.

The apple crisp and pumpkin spice fraps get 1/2/2 pumps instead of the the standard 2/3/4. I just realized this the other day lol
joviante [OP] 28 points 1y ago
oop some people been getting hella pumpkin
hmmyeahrightokaythen 6 points 1y ago
Lol yep and when holiday drinks come back like toasted white mocha those are also 1/2/2
Animuthrowawayplz 19 points 1y ago
Yeah that's because they aren't half pumps. So it's always 1/2/2 full and 2/3/4 for the half.
LeatherTurnip1224 21 points 1y ago
The apple crisp frapp is supposed to be a layered drink like the caramel crunch and mocha cookie crumble. At least that’s what one of my SSV told me
Calsan1 18 points 1y ago
That is correct! Whip and apple drizzle on the bottom, then the blended frap, then more whip and apple drizzle.
Animuthrowawayplz 3 points 1y ago
You're right, completely forgot about that
awesomechief989 7 points 1y ago
I find it odd that WM Frapps get full 2/3/4 pumps though 🥴
Animuthrowawayplz 5 points 1y ago
Just when you think starbucks has gotten its shit together and made everything the same.
wanderer1522 4 points 1y ago
...it does?

It’s 2% unless specified for iced capps. My store had this debate - under the discontinued label on it it says 2%.
Animuthrowawayplz 9 points 1y ago
It's specified for iced Capps as nonfat. The updated recipe card is on the iPad.
bcmead92 25 points 1y ago
Iced cappuccinos technically aren't part of Starbucks' menu anymore :/ I think it used to be espresso, ice to top of cup, milk to bottom line on cup, plain cold foam (no vanilla) to the top. I forget if it was nonfat milk or 2%...

Decaf frappuccinos are easy! Instead of pumps of frap roast you'll substitute shots of decaf espresso (tall: 1, grande: 2, venti: 3)

Half pumps of apple brown sugar in the frappucino.
_candlestick 16 points 1y ago
i think it’s nonfat for the iced cap just because it foams better!
The_Septic_Shock 2 points 1y ago
Correct
bryceofswadia -8 points 1y ago
Pretty sure it just 2% because that’s what the capp comes with by default.
Animuthrowawayplz 8 points 1y ago
It's all nonfat now. The iPad has the updated recipe.
fakepunk22 2 points 1y ago
I work at a BN cafe that serves Starbucks coffee and someone mobile ordered an iced cappuccino and got there 10 minutes after it was done. They were so confused why the cup wasn’t full. “The skim foam falls over time”. Yikes

We don’t have light frappuccinos anymore! And frap roast is still a thing.
nikkicarter1111 2 points 1y ago
I thought it was 1,1,2 for the shots, but I’m not at work rn so
Animuthrowawayplz 4 points 1y ago
I did too for the longest time, but my shift looked at it the other day because out of the five of us working, we gave the new person three different answers. Lol.
juiceyluicy 12 points 1y ago
1. Iced cappuccinos aren’t an official drink anymore and have no official recipe. It’s on the list of discontinued drinks you can find on the partner hub and there’s no recipe card anymore.

2. Decaf Frappuccino’s get 1 decaf shot in a tall, 2 in a grande, and 3 in a venti in place of the Frappuccino roast.

3. The apple crisp frap is layered. If you have the full dose pump on your apple crisp syrup (which I’m assuming you do) it’s 1/2/2 pumps in the blender. If you have the half dose pump on it its 2/3/4 pumps. You can make it with or without coffee depending on what’s ordered. It gets whip cream on the bottom and a ring of apple drizzle, the Frappuccino, topped with more whip cream and more apple drizzle. This one has a recipe card you can look at that details the drink better.
Pylon-Cam 5 points 1y ago
I was taught 1/2/2, not 1/2/3 on the frappuccinos. Interesting!
juiceyluicy 3 points 1y ago
All the full dose pumps or .. not half dose ones are 1/2/2. So pumpkin, white mocha, chai and all your full dose pumps. The recipes for the pumpkin spice frap, chai frap, and white mocha frap will all say 1/2/2. I’m not 100% sure, but knowing how starbucks writes recipes, I can make a pretty good guess that the apple crisp Frappuccino says “1/2/2 (full dose pumps)” on the syrup line. Like it puts the full dose pumps part, because they assume you have that pump on it already because of the macchiato being the main drink. Like how recipes assume you have a half dose pump on brown sugar and a full dose on classic, for example, but some stores use the opposite than what the cards say so. Not to drag on, but, the reason why it’s 1/2/2 and not 1/2/3 is because starbucks have not put .5 pumps of something into their standard. So if we cut in half our Frappuccino measurement for syrup we’d get 1/1.5/2 but starbucks doesn’t want to put .5 pumps into their recipe cards, so they round down. (Cold brews are a good example for this). Hope that explained that a bit.
sharkiemd 1 points 1y ago
this is correct! more evidence for that is when you look at the cheat sheet stickers, those list the half dose pumps to use as 2/3/4 (:
juiceyluicy 2 points 1y ago
Lol I just realized you were probably talking about shots of decaf. There’s a resource sheet starbucks made that my manager has that’s the same size as a recipe card that says decaf fraps get 1/2/3. I’ll try and look to see where else it’s posted
Pylon-Cam 2 points 1y ago
I was, but I didn’t want to say anything because you had put so much time and effort into that reply!

I did appreciate the refresh though, and that’s good to know about the shots. Ill have to go look it up on the resource sheet when I’m at work tomorrow.

Iced cappuccinos are an official drink. The recipe is on the iPad and has been updated for cold foam.
juiceyluicy 3 points 1y ago
I look at the ipad almost every week for to train people and it isn’t in there. It is on the list of discontinued drinks. I’ll gladly check again on Wednesday when I work again, but it isn’t a drink anymore because it was discontinued. Regardless if we can still technically make it or not.
dalydesserts 11 points 1y ago
We still have iced cappuccino on the menu in europe. Its ice to the second line on the cup. Then cold foam made with just nonfat milk and then poor the espresso over top of that. The espresso is pulled into a steaming pitcher with 4 ice cups and pumps of simple syrup 2,3,4 for t,g,v hope that helps
MrDragon7656 8 points 1y ago
That's actually for the Iced cold foam cappuccino, there's an actual iced cappuccino that's dated a very long long time ago which we recently dropped on the menu for I believe either Summer 1 or spring 2.

Shots & Milk to line 2, ice to line 3. Steam milk to cappuccino standards and scoop on top to 6mm below rim, top with flat lid.

I don't think many people even remember it, when the promo launched hardly anyone read the new hot to cards and just made it in the cold foam blenders xD
jazzysoranio 7 points 1y ago
Ah. So, iced cappuccinos is a dumb story. So, we don’t have the cold foam iced cappuccino from recent history anymore. But we do still have the original iced cappuccino, which is dumb and sounds gross. I’m pretty sure the recipe card is still in the system but I haven’t checked recently so maybe not. But it’s literally just a iced latte with a scoop of actual hot steamed 2% foam on top. I kid you not.
Animuthrowawayplz 7 points 1y ago
They changed the recipe card on the iPad to reflect using the regular cold foam. The steamed 2% is not something that's part of the recipe anymore for the iced one.
jazzysoranio 6 points 1y ago
Oh, thank god.
Animuthrowawayplz 4 points 1y ago
Lol. Yeah I've never had to experience making the steamed foam iced caps. It sounds as silly as the hot drinks people get with cold foam lol
ryannmm5 5 points 1y ago
we have a regular who comes in every day and gets a grande, iced cappuccino, extra dry, nonfat milk.
we do shots in the bottom, ice to the top, a TINY splash of nonfat milk, and we do dry foam (number 4 on the blender) with nonfat milk and we put it over the ice. we have to tap the cup on the counter to get the foam to go down. idk if they how were actually supposed to but that’s how she likes it lol
acnh1222 3 points 1y ago
A thing about decaf frappuccinos — I’ve started clarifying with customers “do you want decaf coffee in this, or no coffee at all?” So many customers have asked for remakes because they ordered a decaf frappuccino and then asked why it has coffee in it, thinking that decaf means no coffee. Out of all of the customer confusions, I do kind of understand this one if you don’t know to ask.

But to answer your question, if they want a decaf frap (one with coffee, but “decaf”), that means to add a decaf shot of espresso. You would go to the main page of the pos and add a decaf shot.

If they don’t want coffee at all, the “blended” page usually has creme-based versions of any frappuccino, and to make it the recipe is the same, just without frap roast and with creme base.
awesomechief989 2 points 1y ago
If you find an answer for iced cappuccino‘s let me know. Haha I do a few different ways. Hot milk poured over ice or milk to the middle ice to the top line, and nonfat CF

Most Frappuccino‘s are half pumps except Matcha 😑 don’t even start, that’s soo random.

And I had this debate with my manager, I don’t know how to find it but if someone wants a decaf Frappuccino it is 1/2/3 decaf shots, and half calf is half decaf and half FR. but I don’t know the exact amount for that
briannuzzi 2 points 1y ago
iced cappuccino is ice in the cup, espresso shots over the ice, milk to the top black line and nonfat/skim milk regular cold foam at the top! at least, that’s how me and other ppl at my store make it.

the decaf frap, well I’m not sure if you mean like an espresso frap that’s decaf instead or any of the fraps with a decaf shot in them but I think you’d just make a decaf frap the same way you’d make an espresso frap, but decaf?

and as for the apple crisp frap, I only learned a week into the fall launch that it gets whip and apple drizzle at the bottom! so it’s 1/2/2 of the apple bs syrup because full pumps and whip and apple drizzle at the top and bottom!

I’ve seen so many different recipes for the iced cappuccino tho? some say there’s pumps of vanilla and some say there isn’t, some say it’s 2% but I’ve always been told it’s nonfat milk bc it foams better?
Bryancreates 1 points 1y ago
There used to be something called a coco cappuccino or something which was basically was (when iced) an iced latte, with hot foam spooned over the the top, with mocha drizzle on top. You could get it hot but it was marketed as an iced drink. That was basically what the old school “iced cappuccino” was based on. Hot foam kinda grossed me out on an iced drink but once you mixed it up the bubbles actually gave it a nice texture. I left before cold foam was a thing, thank god. But that sounds like a much option than hot foam.
ukucello 1 points 1y ago
1. Shots, milk to 2nd line, ice, cold foam

2. Decaf shots to standard, everything else the same

3. I've just been making them with standard frap pumps of the apple syrup and doing the apple drizzle on top 🤷‍♂️
The_Septic_Shock 0 points 1y ago
I use the old iced cappuccino card because I don't think there is a new one at least in the US. Standard # iced espresso shots, milk to bottom line, ice to middle line, pour milk into steaming pitcher (short line) and aerate for 6-8 sec (gets it SUPER FROTHY), then pour on top. If they want a wetter iced cap, you can do milk to middle line, ice to top line, then the foam.

You do use the vanilla in the cold foam, it is on the recipe on the iPad.

Iced cappuccinos aren’t a thing anymore so there is no recipe. Just do and iced latte with cold foam. De af fraps all get 1 decaf shit and that’s it
kqs13 1 points 1y ago
It's 1/2/3 decaf shots for tall grande venti fraps
rio8envy7 1 points 1y ago
It’s 1/1/1. I’m at Starbucks now I’ll look on pos when my break is over.
Animuthrowawayplz 0 points 1y ago
Iced cappuccinos are still a thing. The updated recipe is on the iPad with the other drink recipes.
