orange mango smoothie (self.starbucksbaristas)

That's it. Had a customer order this once and I advised them towards a blended mango dragon fruit. They looked very confused when I handed it out to them. Not sure they knew where they are but I hoped they atleast liked it haha.

I 100% with my whole heart miss the smoothies, and the Orange Mango one especially was SO GOOD.

I still get a little sad when someone would try and order one and I would have to tell them they were discontinued years ago 😅

There once was smoothies? I'm like a green ish bean and I never knew

Discontinued maybe three years ago. Milk, a "base" smoothie mix (was it just orange mango and strawberry? It might have even used the same strawberry for the frap, it's been so long, I don't remember), a fresh banana, and some protein powder. They were fine and nice to have to free during work, but not particularly healthy (I'm sure that base was a lot of sugar).

Sometimes I'd be annoyed when customers ask for old products, but what feels like a large time difference to us ( especially when you're new and don't even know we used to carry smoothies) doesn't feel like a lot of time to a customer that comes irregularly. I still don't know if McD's has those chicken snack wrap things I remember from my early-teen years. Seems like they've come and gone a couple times. I sure confused people when I asked about them sometimes lol.

They were called Vivanno for a long time. Orange Mango was my jam.

I don't remember Vivianno as a word but just seeing the V in connection to Oranges makes me hella miss Valencia Orange refreshers

I loved putting a splash of orange mango juice on top of an iced passion tea. Looked so pretty, too.

I worked for the bux for almost 5 years and I remember the strawberry and chocolate smoothies but never a smoothie mix. Damn I would’ve loved to try that.

The strawberry banana smoothie was amazing!

“Do you make smoothies?”

Stg my soul leaves my body every time I hear it. There’s a boba place across the street. Go awayyy

I feel like what Starbucks has is common knowledge but the things people ask for baffles me sometimes
[deleted] 5 points 1y ago
I don’t work for corporate any more but I still have the dumb questions at my licensed store. It’s even worse now because I have to make everything on the fly.

we’ve had people ask for bubble tea at my store …
just_pig3on [OP] 7 points 1y ago
I've had that asked too. But I don't blame them I remember seeing adds about matcha and Thai bubble tea coming to starbucks but that must have been something in a different country lol

One time someone asked me if we sell Diet Coke
Mcnugget_unlimited 3 points 1y ago
We’ve had people ask for a combo with fries/ Hash brown! There is a Wendy’s next door. Also when people ask for a sandwich and take everything off of it but the cheese I’m like go to McDonald’s it’s way cheaper

I used to make green tea frappuccinos with the orange mango purée instead of dairy..
