i wasn’t properly trained. (self.starbucksbaristas)

this is a big favor but i’m asking literally anyone who knows anything to help me out. i’ve been a partner since like mid/end of july, and i was poorly trained. like bad. after i got out of training i was transferred to another store in my city and i had several baristas ask me who i was trained and if i was finished with it. flash forward to now, i’m definitely a lot more comfortable with everything and i can work solo, but i know i’m making lots of drinks incorrectly and it’s a bit too late to let anyone at my store know. like i just found out a couple weeks ago that a caramel macchiato gets vanilla syrup, not caramel. i have no idea what a wet or dry drink is, or a “dirty chai”. i didn’t know flat whites got a different milk (idk what milk). i didn’t know iced teas were shaken. i just found out during a skill check this weekend that a strawberrie creme frap gets classic syrup. i just want a list of drinks and how to make them, iced and hot. thank u dearly, -a lost green bean

Search this subreddit for “cheat sheet”

Also don’t feel like it is too late to ask a supervisor or manager for help. Just say you think you weren’t trained properly. No shame. It’s literally their job to help you out.

Literally have been with the bux for over six years, I STILL find that I make a few things wrong every once in awhile.

I’m still pretty fresh as well and I’m still learning but I can tell you what I know about some of the things you highlighted
1) a dirty chai is a chai latte with a shot of espresso (standard is one but most on DTO and FOH will ask how many shots)
2) Flat whites get whole milk
3) as for drinks, don’t be afraid to look at the cards. Most baristas are happier that your willing to self correct than to have constantly incorrect drinks go out
Don’t be to rough on yourself, it’s hard learning it all and even seasoned vets screw it up. You got this

This has been an invaluable resource for me:
https://www.reddit.com/r/starbucks/comments/p1ik3o/the_last_infographics_i_will_ever_post_leaving/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Be sure to scroll down to the OP's link to their Google Drive, though. The infographic there was updated to correct a few errors. Don't use the one uploaded to Reddit.

most standard milk drinks come with 2%, flat whites get whole & frappuccinos get whole milk. the refresher “drinks” get coconut milk (all of this is unless specified otherwise by the customer, obv.) the info graphic someone else linked earlier is really good for the shots and pumps! i think little things like -1 pump for macchiatos and extra shots for americanos just comes with practice, you got this!! everything for fraps is 2/3/4 for frap roast, flavor, powders and bases! my store just got a ton of new hires and i honestly think starbucks training is just *bad* but you are MORE than capable! i believe in you!!

additionally to ALLLL these comments, if you go to the “store resources” app on the store ipads, ALL drink recipe cards are on there!!

A wet or dry cappuccino depends on how much foam they want, the more foam the drier the drink
a dirty chai is a chai with a shot
flat whites get whole milk

Feel free to message me if you have any questions about drink recipes. I train new hires every other week if not every week, so I look at the recipe cards almost every week. I know every drink recipe exactly how starbucks puts it on the cards and am 100% willing to help you learn. I just feel like it would be a lot for me to detail every single drink on the menu in one Reddit post lol.
