I ended up with like 6 total by the time I quit. My mom kept them, 20 years later still wears them when she’s cooking sometimes, she thinks it’s fun and looks cute, I cringe.

Ask for another… or just start adopting ones the get left behind.

Typically you get two but we did have a shortage of aprons a little while ago so my SM had to give newbies just one each. You should ask for another, I don’t think there’s any problems ordering them right now and it’s no trouble for your SM to do so.

I have like 10 clean green aprons if anyone wants 2 and is for some reason willing to pay shipping PM me.

In my store we don’t get any (licensed). There’s a stack of aprons in the back so we go and put on an apron and put it in the laundry basket before we leave. Aprons never leave the store

I mentioned this off hand to one of the other partners who was a seasoned partner and they gave me two of their old ones 😂 but you can probably ask your SM and they can order you one or two!

Find out when your weekly order (RPOrder) comes in from a shift you trust, then in very small neat handwriting write in the DCR (“the book”) under the category “supplies and merchandise” or whatever it says, write “4 aprons” and the shift who does the order will probably order them. Then, when they come in ask your boss or an SSV next time you see them “hey I saw some aprons come in, can I please have one or two?”

There are no rules about who can write in The Book so you won’t get in trouble. An alternative route can be asking the shift who does the RPOrder to order you some because you only have 1 and you work a lot. I bet they’ll understand and get one to you ASAP!

I got 1 when I started as well. I noticed that other new hires were getting two, so I told my manager I only had one and asked for another and he gave me another one. He also didn’t give me a name tag when I started so I didn’t know I needed one (I know this sounds stupid, but what was I supposed to know? My trainer refused to train me because I was a barista at a different coffee shop beforehand, and all my coworkers had their names embroidered into their aprons. I didn’t even know their were name tags.) you could ask some of your coworkers if they have extra aprons they want to get rid of if you don’t want to ask your manager. I have like 10 now I think.

i got two aprons when i started and i’m pretty sure all my other coworkers did too, our apron rack in the back is literally filled to the rim with unclaimed aprons as well.. my shift told me to never leave my apron on the rack when i leave for home because people will steal them.. but almost every single apron on that rack has been there and been untouched for months upon months. it’s helpful for when people forget their aprons at home because there’s a plethora of options to choose from but at the same time it’s so annoying trying to get back to your apron after a lunch break

I opened with a new store and would forget to bring my apron. So I'd just open a new bag and somehow I got 7 apron. My GM also gave me two packs which had two aprons in it, making it starting out a total of 4. This doesn't include my one red apron I got

I've acquired so many over my nearly 7 years. 2 black ones, like 6 green ones (two with the original quotes on the inside when I very first started) two of them are also embroidered, and like 3 red ones...idk over time you just gradually get more. But I only wear one regularly, that one is not lookin too hot 😅.

I have about 4 aprons but I legit wash my aprons like 1 time every 2 weeks. Definitely leave them outside in the fresh air to get rid of the smell or just hand wash them and dry them.

If they start deteriorating, the guys email me to order new ones to replace the old ones.

Canada is better for everything. 😄 We have a laundry service bring new aprons from the dry cleaning every Tuesday.

If your area has a shift exchange page on FB you could post there and see if anyone has extra they're willing to part with (or ask around at your store)! I'm sure there are partners who forget their apron, grab one from the back, and then accidentally add it to their collection (I'm guilty of this).

Damn, you gotta look after your own apron? Canadian partners get them cleaned professionally and there are dozens in the back

I’ve been a partner for a little over a month now and I was talking to one of my SM’s about how to wash it to get the milk smell out. She asked me how many aprons I have and I told her I had just one, she immediately gave me 4 more since I work 5 days a week so I’d have one for every day. I would just ask someone if you could get a few more cause having to wash it every night is a bit much haha

I only got two but kept kind of collecting more bc of accidents involving milk at work where I had to get a dry apron. If you ask for more they should give them to you because supposedly the shortage is over. Or ask coworkers who have been there for years because they probably have upwards of 10.

I got one, but have never used it. my store just has a shelf of them we take and toss in a laundry bag/box after our shift. Someone comes once a week to take them for washing, we have enough that there are still a lot available before and after laundry is taken.

I’ve been working for almost two months and have never received an apron. I had to borrow one from another worker which was stained and filthy and have been using it ever since. I sometimes wonder what they would do if no one could loan me one of their extras.

I was only given one at training. I told one of my shifts and she got me one more. After I found out we can buy them online. So now I have like 6.

Personally, I have 12. But You should have as many as days you work per week.

10 month shift and I’ve only been given 2. I took two from my friend who quit so I lucked out, but I’ve never been given any more by my SM 😅

I just got rid of a bunch of mine when I moved, gave them to the store I was leaving so other partners had spares. I gave them at least 6, my hubs is also a partner (2 years for me 5 for him) and between the two of us we gave 14. We also work 5-6 days a week, but they just accumulated over the years 😂

If you started 3 months ago, you only got 1 cuz there was a shortage. We werent able to order aprons for a couple months so we had to give a few new hires some used aprons.
That being said, the shortage isn’t a thing anymore. Ask your SM to order you some, they can be ordered through the weekly order.

I started at the end of August and I only got one; my manager told us it was because the company was having an apron shortage. I live in NYC and I’m so glad I have a washing machine in my apartment because I have to wash my apron at least once or twice a week. If I had to leave the building for laundry, that probably wouldn’t happen

sometimes SM’s keep extra aprons in the unlocked drawers of their desk if you know what i’m getting at ;)

I've got 4, but one of them must've been ripped by a box cutter or something. There's a couple slashes on the left side that I haven't bothered trying to repair.

I got sick of people leaving stinky aprons in the back so I started taking them home to wash and thats how i ended up with 18 green and 3 red aprons perfectly folded in my trunk. My whole store knows that if you lose/forget your aprons that the apron gremlin will release them only if the forgetter has an awkward conversation with the gremlin😈
