you're not alone, there's like a million buttons and the customers aren't always patient. when I was training if I took too long finding a button or had to have them repeat their order 10 times I would just be like "so sorry about that, it's my first week. thanks so much for your patience, I've got it now!" even if its your eighth day, and even if they arent being patient. or if you need them to slow down go "sorry gimme one second to catch up typing that in" and then back to your bread and butter of explaining that youre very new and you appreciate their kindness. 9 times out of 10 they'll change their tune and go easier on you, hopefully easing some of that anxiety, and that 1 time they dont theyre clearly the asshole and even the other customers can see that. you're doing great! it takes a lot of practice to feel really comfortable doing the million and one things you have to do on front at the light speed they want you to do them. if you want extra practice, you can ask a coworker to give you drinks to practice typing in so you can learn the buttons or practice typing in your own regular order. you got this!!

Just be transparent with the customer. Since it’s face to face you can just be like “hey sorry I’m new and I’m still learning” laugh it off and do your best. No one is going to be upset if you ask any questions!
Honestly DTO scared me the most because the customers couldn’t see me or understand that I was trying to learn and that’s why I was taking so long.
