Do you have a favorite regular that stopped coming that you miss? (self.starbucksbaristas)

When I was a green bean we had this regular that would come in everyday and get a hot tall matcha with soy milk. He was nice to everyone and everyone loved him. He was an older man who was around his 60s. We became really close because he was the same ethnicity as me, and everyone would joke around that he's my dad or something. He just became a really big part of my Starbucks life. Until one day, he stopped coming. I would wait for him every Monday night and he would never show up. One day I heard that he was robbed and killed in his own home and it broke my heart into a million pieces. He was such a great person and he didn't deserve to go like that.

I’m so sorry to hear that happened to such a lovely man.

I miss this woman who would get a grande or a venti mocha frap in her personal cup and we would talk about her animals. I would be so sad if she happened to come in during a rush because I loved our little chats.

It’s people like that who make the job tolerable.

I had a regular that would come in every day to get a tall pike in a grande cup with 2 raw sugars. He was an older man that was always so kind and sweet with me and always treated me with respect. I stopped seeing him for a week just for me to find out he passed away. I was very heartbroken since I would always get genuinely happy to see him and chat with him about each other’s day. I still miss him but I am glad he is in peace now.
