Apparently the workers in one of those stores really wanted their remodel, it was one of the main complaints. The remodels they were promised kept getting pushed back.

I would like comment on how messed up it is that instead of just paying their employees a living wage, they’d rather spend a metric fuck load on the biggest anti-union law firm.

A union isn’t necessary nor will it happen. Before you down vote me because you think I’m stuck in Starbucks land I’m just thinking realistically that it won’t happen. It’s my opinion and if you disagree that’s fine but please don’t give me crap because I don’t think they way you do.

Well, I think "will it happen" and "should it happen" have two different answers. No, a union won't happen anytime soon. But if it did, workers would get the wages and benefits they deserve and not what corporate decides we deserve so they can make 500,000 a year for corporate lunches.

Do I think I get paid enough to deal with the bullshit I deal with? No absolutely not. I don’t even agree it should happen. And you’re right will it and should it happen are very different things. Unions come with consequences I don’t think people realize and once you’re in a union and they do things you don’t like it’s hard to get out of it. Even if there was a union there’s no guarantee that things will change or that we’ll make more. I’m a 6 year partner and no I don’t like that in making slightly more than a new hire but I also know a good chunk of the people I work with are in high school. If people are unhappy then they should go somewhere like chipotle or wawa or target who all have college achievement programs and pay more.
