Cold bar pumps (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by notjustjazz
I find the idea of cold bar pumps so confusing. Which drinks use cold bar pumps? Does it depend on the syrup (ie raspberry vs lcs in refreshers/ iced teas)? I know that our official cold brews use cold bar pumps but if a customer customizes a cold brew with their own syrups which pumps do we use? My store uses half of the amount of regular pumps for the official cold brews and we don't have a half pump on the syrup bottle for them, so when someone asks for a specific amount of pumps of a syrup in a cold brew, I usually just give them full pumps and have not gotten any complaints. Ugh I just find this so confusing.

For cold brew drink such as vanilla sweet cream cold brew, pumpkin cream cold brew, salted cream cold brew, and the honey almond-milk cold brew you do half pumps of the syrups that automatically come with them. If a customer requests another flavor you would use the full pumps for that. For refreshers you will always do full pumps of whatever flavor they ask for. In iced teas you would do half pumps of liquid cane but full pumps for any other flavors. Iced shaken espressos also get half pumps.

Thank you! Does this apply to the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso as well or just the regular shaken espresso?

Yes this brown sugar shaken espresso gets half pumps of brown sugar. The same rule applies for these where if a customer requests another syrup you would do the full pumps for that.
