okay so essentially i am a closer who was put on mornings randomly. im currently on my lunch and i feel so overwhelmed. i struggle with multitasking as well as new tasks as i am neurodivergent (adhd). was wondering if anyone had some coping skills that may help, and advice in general. i feel like i keep making mistakes and i just want to be productive. also, i am only a month in if that says anything lol

Hey, I have ADHD and mornings can get pretty stressful in general but especially for us. There's a lot of noise going on, lots of multitasking, veteran baristas who don't really have patience for new folk. I get it. I've been in your shoes before. Medication has helped me out tremendously but I know that's not always an option for everyone. Whenever I forget my meds (ADHD, what's up!!!) I take shots of espresso and it calms my brain down.

It took me A LOT longer than a month to get used to things and be confident enough to not feel like shit. lol All I ever ask of green beans ND or not, is to at least put in some effort and show me that you're willing to learn. Have a sense of urgency in whatever you do in the mornings because peak can get wild and brutal. Ask LOTS of questions instead of assuming and making mistakes. It takes less time to ask and make it correctly than to have to remake a mistake. Have confidence in whatever you do. That was the biggest problem for me. lol

If you have any questions, feel free to message me! You got this! I believe in you!
