Making an Americano (help) (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Euphoric_Collar565
Just making sure… it’s
Short 1 (shot)
Tall 2s
Grande 3
& venti 4
Right?
I’ve been working at Starbucks for a few months and I’m really hesitant to ask these questions because I feel I should know this but I truly doubt myself all the time.

Thanks fellow partners (;

The only thing I am not 100% certain on is the short (no one has ever ordered a short from my store) but you are correct on tall, grande, and venti! Also, never feel bad for asking questions! If your co workers are doing their job they should be happy to answer them! We all forget things and need a reminder sometimes!

Thank you for your reply. No one ever orders short but I’m sure it’s the same. My trainer was honestly super hostile and aggressive. I ended up talking to my manager about it though, apparently it’s a reoccurring issue with them.

I have heard of trainers like this (some people don't know how to remember what it was like for them as a green bean) if I were you I would try to find a new person(s) to kinda fill that guiding role at work. Usually even if it's not a trainer there are lots of employees willing to help you!

I was trained 3 shots for a venti. Dammit.

Thank you for asking. Former partner, long time americano lover. I’m convinced many baristas around my area make grande americanos with 2 shots bc the grandes always seem super watery (whereas talls and ventis seem fine every time)!
