Today I had the usual "is this mine?" When it obviously wasn't theirs, of course I asked, " is your name xxx?" They just turned away lol. But, of course we had to get screamed at today. One woman had to wait 2 MINUTES for her warmed up pumpkin muffin DURING PEAK. and started YELLING AT US AND POINTING HER FINGER about how her food was taking too long. My poor shift just had to sit there and get yelled at. I'm so tired of people treating us like we aren't human.

I’ve started giving people the website to apply for a job with Starbucks if they complain about their drink/food taking too long. Want your food/drink faster? Come work here so we can have the staffing we need. No? Then stop complaining and wait your turn.

No fucking way. Anyone treats me or my coworkers like that, I instantly tell them, dead faced, to get out. If something's wrong - our fault or not - we'll apologize and make it right for you. But the moment you don't treat us with respect, you can see your way to the door.

God I wish I did that, but I'm a 320 and am trying to know my place in situations. If it was one of my fellow baristas and not a shift she was yelling at I would definitely tell her to get out then.
