Anyone else not know how to fit a description of your job at Starbucks on your resume because you could write a 12 page, single spaced thesis on all the shit you had to do for work? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I could write a 12 page single spaced thesis about the time I had to scrub someone’s shit off of the bathroom wall with a mop

Prioritise the main tasks that were performed regularly to semi-regularly, and avoid redundancy.

Biggest ones are conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, if you've ever trained a new hire **or** were a supervisor then you have leadership experience, and of course you can't forget "works well under pressure" lmao

Ignore tasks that are commonplace as an adult - dishes/cleaning, product organisation, restocking/facing merchandise, and taking specific order requests are a couple. If you've placed orders for inventory, then you can show you've got experience with inventory management and upkeep.

Unfortunately, nowadays, resumes are intended to be kept as succinct as possible because they're rarely *read* anyways (usually skimmed, tbh) and you'll be repeating yourself for almost every single application and every interview anyways.
