I know we’re obviously not allowed to wear colored nail polish bc of the food safety thing and not wanting to get chips of polish in drinks. However, are we allowed to have a thin, clear layer of nail polish on or no? Thanks

Any and all nail, vinyl, polish, or gels are not allowed for food safety reasons.

No. If I remember correctly the reason is that the nail could chip and fall into the drink, even if it is just a thin clear layer of nail polish. And I believe this applies to most (if not all) food service businesses, not just Starbucks.

Thank you for abiding by the standard. We once found a nail in our food. It was so disgusting!!!
