Mobile ordering in the drive line(self.starbucksbaristas)

Today we had someone pull up to the box and say they were here for a mobile. We had no such mobile and even waited like 2 min and no mobile appeared so they went ahead and ordered. (Was obvious they were picking up an order for someone else who placed the order) then they get to the window and as they pull up to it the mobile comes through (during peak btw). I start making the drinks (not realizing it was their order). Well then my dto tells dtr "oh their mobile came through refund their order and give them the mobile" and so I say "well pull them around for the mobile they placed it literally at the window" (we pull people around who order anything at the window that takes more time than a cake pop as it's unfair to all the customers behind them in line) DTO says "No just make the mobiles and we will give it to them at the window" which made no sense to me but THEN they double down and the main bar asks "well if we are refunding the order at the box should I skip those drinks (most of which were already made) and my DTO says "No finish those and the mobile we will refund them for those and then give them ALL the drinks".
This stuff infuriates me. Why are we rewarding bad behavior?!?! WHY ARE WE GIVING THEM SIX DRINKS FOR THE PRICE OF THREE AFTER THEY CONSCIOUSLY DECIDED TO SEND THE MOBILE THROUGH AFTER ORDERING AT THE BOX. They chose to order six they should pay for six or only get three?! Idk I hate enabling customers.

She is a ssv too and it was during peak so I wasn't going to argue with her but I hated letting it go

Is your store utilizing the DPM app on the iPad? This would have eliminated this whole situation. We use it to force labels when they come through DT during peak and to see if it’s even in the que.

We are "supposed" to have it but they won't send us the iPad. Our store is the oldest store in our town and kinda gets screwed with the new stuff. I think we are 10-15 years old and have never been remodeled :(
I don't think it would have even helped because it wasn't that the order was in queue. They just never placed it until they were at the window.
