Hello, green bean here! My store recently opened up a few weeks ago, brand new store in town. We’ve been pretty relaxed about the dress code regarding footwear but this morning had a chat that we need to start wearing the right shoes when we come in. I’ve been wearing reboks to work almost every day since they were my comfiest shoes, but it’s time to get in dress code now.
One of our SS suggested that we wear boots for our shifts since majority of those who are in dress code wear them and all swear they’re the comfiest footwear you can wear. I had asked if a particular pair of boots were fine since I already own them and wouldn’t have to go buy a new pair of shoes (I thought the reboks were in dress code this whole time since in my training at a different store I was told they’d be okay.) but they didn’t really know if they were or not.
Would these be okay? Or would I get in trouble for wearing them to my shift tomorrow morning?
(Pic below since I can’t figure out how to add one to the post ☹️)

The important thing is that they’re non-slip and will protect your feet from boiling water, as well as not being too out there in terms of colour (I’ve got all-black shoes with sparkly bright blue laces, and they’re accepted). I can’t say anything about the first one, but it seems fine for the other two imo

Dr marten makes non slip 1460’s that are super comfy and literally the best non slip ever. I went from ice skating and almost dying daily to being able to maneuver quickly, comfortably, and safely. Amazon has them as does dr. Marten on their website.

I personally don’t find boots comfy at all - you can still wear trainers as long as the upper portion is made with something like leather - basically not mesh that would soak through if you did get boiling water on you. Also a lot of stores prefer black soles
