it’s honestly really funny (and also really sad) how you could hand out a customers drink as fast as humanly possible, and the customer will take their ever sweet time pulling out their payment, and you can’t do anything but wait and anticipate getting blamed for the high drive times

Dealt with this this morning, the customers that already had payment out got me 14s window times!

Keep the drinks near the ledge, customers move faster when they see they're ready.

As soon as they put in their card, hand out their drinks. Let their card process, have them pull it out, and they drive away. Saves time. Shift told me how to do it 👍

What's depressing is you've been conditioned to be upset at the customer for taking their time and being organized, all because you have pressure on your job from your higher ups. It's bull, mainly because the drinks have increased exponentially in complexity to prepare and the expectations for drive through times do not reflect that.

Oh and the one I had looking in the mirror, touching her face, while I stood there mute. She finally took her beverage and paid and then resumed looking in the mirror, fiddling with her makeup. I stood there and then she looked at me and said, "Can I have a paper straw?" I said we don't have any because they had been gone from that station for a week and mostly our customers hate them and my SM gets angry calls about them. But she insisted, SM happened to be nearby and he got her one (eye roll)
