What to do with leftover? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by miguelb1
Okay so you know when a customer orders a ton of stuff in a drink so much so that it has excess? What do y’all do? Cuz I throw it all out and tell customers we don’t give that out. Some people put so much that it makes a second drink! My logic is they only paid for one so they only get one drink? Idk I’ve had customers demand for the overage, but I just say I’ve already thrown it out

imagine being so entitled that you have to complicate someone’s job that’s already hard enough and demanding free shit. people continue to baffle me. i’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this. :(

we have one guy who orders extra salted foam on the salted caramel cold foam cold brew and he wants the extra foam in a short cup, i just give it to him lol. i’ve asked 1 SSV what to do and she said “whatever to make the customer happy” but if it was like a frap and they wanted the extra in tall cup i wouldn’t. cold foam is also $1 extra so i don’t mind giving him his money’s worth because he’s nice & it’s usually slow when he comes

We def charge for a short cup of cold foam. Just an extra dollar

Don't believe there's really a policy for this.

If they're a jerk about getting the leftovers, then throw them away. If they're a genuinely nice person, give it to them.

Could be as simple as when they're picking up their drinks, going "Hey, your drink actually took up two cups, would you like the other one?"

There's really a policy for this: we serve our drinks in the cup the customer ordered, no more, no overages. Check your bev resource manual

Thanks man! Didn't know that 👍 I'll make sure to remember that
