I don’t know if there is an official standard for sinks. Some people think you can only use restroom cleaner in the bathroom. Personally tho restroom cleaner and a good scrub with a magic eraser does wonders.

The last time I looked the standard is the blue spray. Restroom cleaner is not food safe technically so is not supposed to be used on things like sinks or pitchers. I use it on the sinks still cause it works way better. But I’m almost positive the manual used to say blue spray.

I ignore the people who are like “YoU cAn OnLy UsE RR ClEaNeR iN tHe BaThRoOm” and say “ok!” And continue my cleaning when they turn around. It’s the only thing that *works*

Multi purpose sanitizer

For those saying bathroom cleaner, we can’t use bleach to clean things that food touches. If you rinse a steam pitcher in a sink cleaned with bleach then it’s almost like you’re rinsing the steam pitcher with bleach water. That’s also why it’s bathroom cleaner…because it’s made for bathrooms…

I have a simple argument for this though, thats why it gets rinsed. Whenever I clean the sinks with restroom cleaner, they get rinsed heavily after. Exact same as the coffee urns, UrnX is VERY toxic. And yet we use it on the shit we brew coffee into. On a weekly basis

Read the labels. Restroom cleaner specifies it’s also for food-contact and other surfaces. At least it did a couple days ago. I haven’t read it in a while.
Competitive_Ad_2421 2 points 1y ago
Ok i will have to do that. There are some girls panicking about cleaning the sink with it
jazzysoranio 1 points 1y ago
It’s just a bleach spray. It’s the same stuff as the chlorine they use in swimming pools (well, maybe not so much anymore now that saline is becoming more popular). But we used to have that same debate about using the restroom cleaner on the countertops until I read the label and it literally said it’s meant for use on food contact surfaces.

Wow. Ok. I have been tricked!

Urnex will clean effectively if used properly. I don’t use bleach because of cross contamination from overspray and the simple fear that in haste, I might forget or not rinse at thoroughly.

Also, the sodium hypochlorite will react with carbon dioxide and strip the protective corrosion layer of steel.

I use the bathroom cleaner on everything! Lol cleans the milk pitchers and tea pitchers wonderfully:)
Guilty_Owlz 3 points 1y ago
I mean technically as long as you wash it three times after like we do for urnexed things, it should be fine even if it's not standard
Competitive_Ad_2421 2 points 1y ago
What is standard for the sinks?
Guilty_Owlz 0 points 1y ago
No idea we always use bathroom cleaner

Multipurpose cleaning detergent. Or, if you have ecolab products, you can use the degreaser on hard stains.

The amount of people saying “restroom cleaner” is the reason why I have trust issues.
