She’s straight up begging them not to vote for a union. What a load of BS. Also, expect to have this post taken down by mods since we’re not allowed to post internal resources

I'm just hoping that the right people get it saved before it's taken down
StormTheParade 3 points 1y ago
You would do better to type it up as it was written and reshare it that way. Images of internal resources aren't allowed and is a good way to give them grounds for termination

https://stories.starbucks.com/press/2021/working-directly-together-as-partners-we-can-build-a-different-kind-of-company/

Fairly certain it's close to being word for word to that article ( haven't checked it all yet ) only difference is the internal use added to this

But visibility is really what matters

It is almost exactly word for word! Unfortunately because the version you posted is the actual "internal" document it does have to stay removed, but definitely definitely repost using that link and i would super encourage you to do it both here and to /r/starbucks as I don't think it has been shared there yet!

I actually can't believe they have the gall to point out the issues employees are complaining about and still ask people to vote no. Corporate has been aware of these issues for at *least* a decade, and this is still the way they are choosing to go. It's only ever about the money, never about the employees. Fuck starbucks.

Also, just in case, I threw the link into an archive site so if the article is updated/edited or removed, we still have the link. $1 and I'll be saving it on my end as well.

Are they at least gonna try to bribe us?
PleaseKillMeAt12 [OP] 3 points 1y ago
Best they can do is probably threaten

🤣

She wrote something akin to "unionizing will impact the direct relationship between you and Starbucks corporate", and I couldn't agree more. It will impact their ability to directly force their will on us.

We've had this open, direct relationship with corporate all along and look where we are. I think we need a buffer. A little space, Starbucks. It's not us, it's you.

Complete bs letter

Idk whether to upboat for visibility and solidarity or downboat because I want to vomit reading this saccharine bullshit. (I chose upvote, FYI.) I also love how she threw in callouts as a culture issue... Well, yeah, Rossann, when you create a shitty high-pressure environment that manipulates and guilts employees into accepting unacceptable treatment, people who are burnt out or literally sick or just not willing to take crap that day are going to call out. So if you're so heartbroken about it, fix it.
