i know there’s a lot of talk about unionizing starbucks right now but i’m curious. if let’s say, target, were to unionize before we do—would that make the target bux a unionized location as well or what?

Those locations are stores owned and staffed by Target, and the Starbucks brand is licensed to Target for use of recipes, logos, etc. Since the actual employer is Target, all the Target employees at that location would have to be a part of unionizing it since its all in one Target building.
There have been some efforts to unionize only a department in a 'micro-union' that have had some spotty success, but I believe the NLRB is generally forcing votes for the whole organizational unit in a physical location now.
