Almost called my SSV ‘mom’ today🥴 (self.starbucksbaristas)

I was on bar today. I was about to ask something, turned to my SSV and went “mo-“ then IMMEDIATELY cut myself off. Thank god I said it quietly, and she didn’t even realize I was talking to her. Y’all, I would have NEVER lived that one down if I had finished that word.😭 still reeling that I was really about to call her mom.

Every day I come in to this. I'm a SSV and 7 months pregnant lmao. One of my baristas calls every shift "mom/my". "Are you my mommy? Who's mommy?" Instead of who's in charge lmao.

Same! Alot of my coworkers call me mom. I think one of my trainees started it, now it's all the baristas on my shift sometimes haha. Honestly I love it. Like yes you are all my babies, I will protect you from the Karens.

I have referred to my baristas before as my children and they all think it’s incredibly creepy and nobody is comfortable with it.
