Any tips on getting this unstuck?? Our night crew keeps stacking these together after they wash them and they seal shut! 😩(i.redd.it)

Reheat them in the sink with hot water, then twist while pulling. The twist helps break the static friction so the pulling apart can happen. (a dead faced stare into the distance helps me too)
lover_of_pancakes38 points1y ago
Yeah exactly this. The twist keeps you from injuring yourself while yeeting it, and the dead faced stare keeps you from getting emotionally involved when it doesn't work.
Just kidding, it works most of the time
carcinophile149 points1y ago
Smack your night crew with em lol
RyusuiJL14 points1y ago
🤣

science! stick the bottom into a cube of hot water and fill the top one with ice and water. the hot and cold makes them easier to pull them apart
paigemclachlan28 points1y ago
Yes this! The ice makes the inside contract and the heat makes the outside expand. Physics!!
aspoonfulofsammy117 points1y ago
I tried this tho and it did not, in fact, work. It was disappointing.
croissantboyy8 points1y ago
you gotta let it sit a minute and make sure the bottom one is completely submerged and the top has both ice and water so it gets cold enough
Accurate-Bumblebee148 points1y ago
Add salt to the ice water to super cool it
croissantboyy1 points1y ago
ooh smart
Suspicious_Wiener1 points1y ago
I have tried this as well. Typically, it works, bit we had a couple shaker bottles stacked like this that EVERYONE in my store tried to get apart. After 4 days, we just threw them out. 😅
ColeSwasey2 points1y ago
I usually put ice in the shaker then use our hot water spout to pour hot water directly onto the lip of the outside cup. I turn it a couple times under the hot water and usually they'll come unstuck.
Accurate-Bumblebee142 points1y ago
This.
wildaloofrebel552 points1y ago
This is exactly what I did when we had two shakers stuck together and it worked like a charm!
Js_On_My_Yeet35 points1y ago
I'm night crew and this makes me so mad whenever I see anybody do this lol
King_Spamula5 points1y ago
This and putting the lid on top of the shaker so the water can't evaporate or drain
drinkliquidclocks16 points1y ago
I tried EVERYTHING and never did get them apart one time. I tried the hot/cold water trick etc and we just had to toss them lmaoo
Make sure you smack the closers
vickera16 points1y ago
Bang them on the side of the counter.
meloscav3 points1y ago
I don’t think night crew would appreciate that
saddestgirl199512 points1y ago
Douse this sucker in tea water then find another person to grab onto the other side and start YEETING!!!! Pull that shit apart bbg
guilded0n36 points1y ago
If you have a sprayer head on your dishwasher you can also spray directly down the side of the outer cup. The water pressure entering the bottom cup will force them apart from the inside.
NOTcreative-5 points1y ago
Water, ice and salt inside. Hot water outside determination.water ice and salt brings down temp of inner shaker below 32 condensing it. Hot water outside expands outer shaker.
the_senor_cardgage3 points1y ago
turn them off then on again
killerweeee3 points1y ago
Hot water or microwave.
jdanger17832 points1y ago
What I have found that works best is to throw them away and order new ones.

Heat them both then twist in opposite directions. This unfortunately didn’t work for us. Then it got dropped and the outer one broke breaking the seal
redbookworm1 points1y ago
I just throw them in the Hobart and it always does the trick.
chellichelli1 points1y ago
No. Just throw them away and order new ones. None of the temperature tricks work.
Seriously, throw them away now. Otherwise all the partners at your store are gonna waste a bunch of time trying to do the impossible.
blah________________ [OP]1 points1y ago
I've tried hot water, ice, smacking them, etc... nothing's worked yet, lol (I did manage to chip the inner shaker, though 🙄). But thank you all for your suggestions! I'll test out a few more recommendations before I toss them.

Fire night crew
hahahazooe1 points1y ago
we usually just smack them on the counter tops. bad on ur night crew tho. tell them for sure
darrinH921 points1y ago
Did you try putting them in rice ?
SplashStick1 points1y ago
My store had this issue at one point, and the cups were stuck for 3 days. Partners on every shift tried different things (soaking in hot water, freezing, picking the 2 strongest partners to try ripping them apart) and nothing worked…until, believe it or not, one partner took a pat of butter, rubbed it along the rim of the outer cup, let it sit and melt a while…and that was what worked.
meloscav1 points1y ago
My question is what have y’all done to piss off your night crew? (Half kidding. But hot water and prayers)
