anyways i was on bar my entire 6.5 hour shift and we were short staffed, every single drink had cold foam on it (yes even hot ones & fraps…i think someone even ordered a hot tea with nonfat cold foam) and i’m ✨ over it ✨ and wish our blenders would break once and for all
all i’m saying is if i ever open my own coffee shop blended drinks, cold foams, and excessive modifications will not be a thing <3

only exception is extra caramel drizzle, I know it doesn't affect the taste pretty much at all (if it's a drink with caramel syrup already in it) but it's so pretty I do it on my own drinks

I’m honestly such a hypocrite like I hate customers getting cold foam and extra caramel drizzle but like I do it tooooo I even put dark caramel in my cold foam; but also I hate when other people get these things

ngl it's ruining my enjoyment of bar. i was put on warming for a shift and despite being slammed constantly, it felt less stressful than bar. and i realized why afterwards: i didnt have to constantly step away from my station to throw another cold foam in the blender.

same! i love bar, cold bar especially. it just gets old so fast when every single sticker i get says “vanilla sweet cream foam” “pumpkin foam” “salted crml foam” or i hear “can i get (names off 4 different foams at once)” from both bar partners at once.
it doesn’t even taste that good, imo. the salted foam w/o caramel is good but jeez. you can survive with a drink that doesn’t have foam

I worked at a place that sold Starbucks products on a university campus like 17 years ago. People wanted hot foam on their cold Frappuccino but we couldn’t because of mixing hot and cold milk.
Because of the danger zone.

AAAAAAAAH. I feel you. Honestly, the sweet cream-based cold foams are completely vile and I don’t understand why people want them on EVERYTHING. Tried to drink a pumpkin cream cold brew when they were first introduced and that nasty foam made me wanna hurl!
