Hot drink season is finally hitting and BOY OH BOY is it bad this year. I feel like every other hot drink I have had they want the sweet cream foam (pumpkin, salted caramel, their own creation) on top! When we explain that it melts and doesn't stay foamy on top, they get angry. We also say it is less expensive to just add the syrup to the drink and get whip on top, they get angry. When the drink comes out not foamy on top, they get angry. I work at a Tarbucks and my GM just tells us "Make the moment right for the guest!" HOW WHEN THEY WANT IMPOSSIBLE DRINKS?! I'm going to explode.

Put the sweet cream cold foam on the side. Then they can watch it melt when they put it on top of their drink.

I wouldn't recommend this, they start drinking it on the side or asking for it in a bigger cup on the side.
If they've been told it deflates and still complain, just say you made it how they ordered.
We either make it like the sticker says or charge them for a tall "Cold Milk" with Sweet Cream Foam if they want it on the side.

Yeah, now that I think about it, you're not supposed to give them a cup for free like that. Just keep reminding them that there's such a thing as physical science and it causes the sweet cream cold foam to melt on hot drinks.

It’s because Starbucks did the Irish cream hot Americano with the cold foam 2(?) years ago, and now everyone thinks it’s a thing, but it’s a pain in the ass
