Same here. This one lady will pull up and say “Hey! It’s Amanda!” Umm…okay? Do you know how many Amanda’s come through here in a day? I’ve been with Sbux for 3 years and still don’t know her drink. Regardless she usually comes in mornings and I work afternoons. But still…

We have a regular that comes in who just mentions his name and we make it for him (dry Venti cappuccino, 3 raw sugars, extra shot). I feel so bad for the new hires but at least he’s understanding

when theyre understanding its amazing, but when theyre rude its the worst. i feel like that just sums up the starbucks experience 😅

I had an asshole of a regular at my store who would do this and just say “Hi, it’s Jason.” I knew his regular order (grande mocha nonfat no whip half sweet extra shot) but every morning I would respond “hi Jason, what can I get for you?” That’s what he gets for being creepy.

omg that was one of my biggest pet peeves when I worked in a grocery store sbucks! I mainly worked the mid/late afternoon shifts and maybe once or twice a month I'd have a morning shift. And lots of employees from the store would get drinks on their breaks. So of course I would know the regular orders for people who worked the same shifts as me but I barely knew any of the people on the opening shifts.

There was this one lady from the meat dept that would come super early and I knew she got an iced espresso but I could never remember exactly how she liked it. And every single time I'd see her on my early shifts she'd walk up to the counter and just look at me and then get upset because I didn't already have her order rung up. And when I'd ask what she wanted she'd hit me with the "well everyone else knows my order" line (clearly I'm not everyone else?) and then say that she was so used to everyone knowing her drink that she didnt remember it and she'd be so offended! Like how's it my fault that you don't even know what you get??

Sometimes when a custy gets a ‘tude when I ask questions, I tell them I’m just trying to make sure their drink is made just the way they like it. It shuts a lot of people up. Not all, but enough. Other times my voice goes dead because this job has sucked what little was left of my soul. Sigh.
