calling out (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by actualgabeitch
i always feel so guilty when i need to call out. i had to call out a few weeks ago for a couple shifts because i got sick, and now whatever i had is coming back in a second wave. i know i wouldn’t pass the covid check in (even though i’m pretty sure it’s not covid), so i know it’s justified, but i still feel bad about calling out. i overthink everything so i’m like what if they think i’m lying just bc i don’t want to go in for open and they hate me bc i’m screwing everyone else over?? i guess i’m posting this for some sort of reassurance lol

hey!! it’s so much better to let them know ahead of time to prepare than doing it hours before. they also have other partners that might need hours. there will always be a problem at the store so you’re just getting some much needed rest 💗

If the store is scheduled so thin that it can’t function with one (1) person being out sick, something that is normal and expected to happen, that is not your fault. Rest & take care of yourself!!
