New bean here, how long do trainers and shifts keep new people in the window or dto? I have been here 6 weeks and a total of maybe 2 hours on bar. I want to ask to be moved around, but not sure if they will go for it. They seem to like me to just work window for 8 hours.

Absolutely ask to be moved around. At the beginning of your shift, tell them you want experience on bar/ovens/front.

Depending on the person and how busy it is, if it’s busy they tend to put the stronger people on bar. But if I were you, I’d ask to be put on bar more if you think you can handle it.
