Today I called out bc I was sick but I was deliriously typing to my manager at 4 am that I'm sick. I called my shift and he said it was just allergies even though I failed the check in we have to do.
I got my rapid test and it turned out negative. I'm still ill and I'm going into work tomorrow and if I cough and sneeze too much and get sent home early that's not my fault. Because I was shamed for calling out for being literally sick today

If you’re actually sick, stay home. You don’t want to pass on to others I’m sure, and it’s not food safe. Try your best to get your shift covered, and get some rest.

if they’re going to shame you for calling in, walk in in the morning and have your shift watch you do the covid checkin and fail

thats my plan!
but we dont even use the covid check in anymore anyway.
