Say, "Hey can you schedule me more hours?"

How's your availability for scheduling? If you want more hours best option is to have open availability, all week.

If you are really hurting for hours you could offer to work a shift or two at a store close to you/your store.

Thank you for the advice! Is it difficult for my sm to have me as a borrowed partner? i don’t want to cause them extra work as they already do so much for us.

Nah, all they have to do is select on option in the Partner Hours app. They just need to know which store.

I would just tell them you're interested in working more hours and if they are unable to give you more at the store, mention you'd be willing to pick up shifts elsewhere. At that point you have to figure out which store and then either you or your manager contact that other stores manager.

Oh and you could also ask about certifying as a barista trainer if you feel comfortable.. that's another way to get hours as well as the training bonus.

i’m pretty much still a green bean(about a month and half but i’ve had lots of bar time) so i don’t think i would be able to train, i do have some connects at a local store so i will definitely be talking to my sm about that if she is unable to give me more hours. I really appreciate your response!

Just ask for more hours. It’s like asking for a transfer or asking for a promotion. At some point you just have to suck it up and ask.

You can also cover any shifts that need coverage. Make yourself available if someone calls out. Offer to extend if needed. I turned a 20-hour week into 28 hours just by doing that (and yes, I’m very happy).
