Starbucks to raise pay to 'at least' $15 an hour as it faces labor shortage….. Funny how usatoday finds out anything before us, so for us shifts that already make 15, do you think we’ll get a raise too?(usatoday.com)

I have to say, for an American company they sure treat their American stores like trash. In Canada, they did this (or at least similar numbers) back in the spring.

The liscene store i work at paid me below poverty wage of what corporate usually gives me. The day I got fire I was paid 27.00 dollars as my final pay check the lowest I been paid in my life. I am switching back to corporate when given the chance.

For corporate stores, just go read the message from Rossann on the hub. In January, partners with at least 2 years experience will get a 5 percent raise and partners with 5 years experience will get a 10 percent raise (this is to help separate the tenured partners pay from the new hires). Then by the summer, everyone will be at at least 15/hr.

yeah i was asking specifically about shifts that are making 15 right now! i read that in the article. but i read on the hub it’s a 27% difference. so i got my question answered! thanks

Nothing for those of us who live in areas were the minimum has been $15 and the price of living is still out of control 😣

Whaaaaat. I just quit too because I wasn't getting paid enough for the BS.
Notanormie_justnew1 points1y ago
Wait a minute.... ALL partners will be getting $15 an hour, current partners as well?
jerrychiip0 points1y ago
anyone know if this will apply to licensed stores...? I didn't see anything in the article about them
Logical-Doubt-60213 points1y ago
no. Their pay depends on the store they work for.
