I don’t know about Guest Advocate BUT I worked Tarbucks.
Pros: (depending on your location)
45 minute lunch breaks and 15 minute breaks
and better pay (?)
Cons:
Working alone - I worked by myself as a closer usually for 2.5 to 3 hours before the other closer came in and it was just us two the rest of the night. I worked at a high volume location in CA near an amusement park (not disneyland) and it was always busy.
No tips - like at all (again, depending on location)
No free mark-outs
Understaffed - They don’t train other Target employees for Tarbucks so if someone calls out you might end up working alone your whole shift if no one can come in to cover.
**Also depending on your Target location and if there is a cafe (i.e, sells PizzaHut), you may have to work that as well if there is a call out and coverage is needed.

Being quite honest, being a Guest Advocate turned Barista in the past year and working towards being a SSV, with your experience if you want a career at Target, it would be easier to obtain one at Tarbucks. A leader at Target will always be looking for someone to develop into something more, so just prove yourself to be the best available barista and just bide your time. Things will naturally go uphill for you. Best of luck! If you don't feel like going back to Sbux, the Guest Advocate position will mostly have you doing register. And unless you have experience in Target Service and Engagement, there's a bit of a learning curve that will take at least a year of experience if you actually want a leader to take notice of you and groom you into something more. Id honestly suggest sticking with Tarbucks.
